Vice Press Home Video Brings The Crow Back To VHS
So, the good news is Vice Press Home Video is back. The better news is they’ve brought Paramount Home Entertainment along for a release horror collectors didn’t know they needed: The Crow is returning to VHS.

The news comes via Bloody Disgusting, which confirmed artwork duties on the new tapes went to Matt Ferguson, with formatting handled by Ferguson and Florey. There are two editions on offer here, and neither one is subtle about its UK roots.
The standard slipcase edition caps out at 1,250 units, done up in a red on tape design, and will be available through Vice Press as well as Amazon, HMV, and Rarewaves — all on PAL format. The Vice Press Exclusive Edition is the rarer of the two, limited to 250 white tapes with black on tape design, and it’s only available direct from Vice-Press.com, also strictly UK PAL. Worth noting for anyone outside Europe: PAL tapes won’t play on a standard North American VHS deck.
Both editions will run you £34.99 each. The original 1994 film, starring the late Brandon Lee as Eric Draven, follows a murdered rock musician resurrected by a mysterious crow to settle the score with the gang that killed him and his fiancée. It went on to spawn a handful of sequels, none of which have aged quite as well as the original.
This isn’t the first tape Vice Press has put back into circulation this year — the label’s recent run also included a VHS revival of Terrifier 2, and the format’s having a moment more broadly, with This Is How the World Ends recently billing itself as the first straight-to-VHS horror release in two decades. If you’re after more practical-horror throwbacks, our own piece on Sébastien Vanicek teasing a gruesome director’s cut of Evil Dead Burn is worth a look too.
We’ll keep you posted on updates about The Crow as the project develops.
