Straw Hats Set Sail: “One Piece: Grand Pirate Show” Debuts at Universal Fan Fest Nights

Universal Studios Hollywood will debut One Piece: Grand Pirate Show, a live stunt show, as part of its Universal Fan Fest Nights event beginning April 23, 2026.

The show runs for 12 nights only across two weeks in spring: April 23–25, May 1–3, May 7–9, and May 14–16. It will be staged at the iconic WaterWorld amphitheatre, the same venue that previously hosted the park’s water-based stunt productions, now reimagined as Midori Island from the world of ONE PIECE.

The 20-minute performance follows the Straw Hat Crew — Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, and Tony Tony Chopper — on a mission to recover rare Pop Greens, a powerful botanical resource hidden on the island. The mission is derailed when the Marines storm Midori Island, triggering a series of intense battle sequences complete with live pyrotechnics. As if that were not enough, the villainous Buggy the Clown crashes the chaos in a bid to seize the Pop Greens for himself — adding a comedic turn to the high-stakes action.

According to Universal, the production is inspired by the long-running ONE PIECE live stunt show at Universal Studios Japan, adapted here for a Hollywood audience for the first time. The show marks the first dedicated ONE PIECE stage experience at Universal Studios Hollywood.
