Evil Dead Burn Has a Trailer and a New Release Date
The first official trailer for Evil Dead Burn dropped this week, and Warner Bros. did not come to play. The footage, first screened at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on April 14 — is now online, and yes, it is exactly as grim as you are hoping.
The trailer opens with a mother unloading a dishwasher conspicuously full of sharp silverware. Then comes the knock at the door. She opens it to find an undead corpse with a car headrest through her skull, which she yanks out and drops on the floor before unleashing hell on the family. A boy gets shoved onto that same dishwasher, impaled on cutlery. Someone jumps on his chest. You know how it goes.

Evil Dead Burn
Evil Dead Burn is the sixth installment in the franchise and the third standalone entry following 2013’s Evil Dead and 2023’s Evil Dead Rise. Directed by Sébastien Vaniček (Infested) and co-written with Florent Bernard, the story follows a woman who seeks solace with her in-laws after losing her husband, only for the family gathering to descend into Deadite carnage — with the vows she took in life apparently binding beyond death.
The cast includes Souheila Yacoub (Dune: Part Two), Hunter Doohan (Wednesday), Luciane Buchanan (The Night Agent), Tandi Wright (Pearl), and George Pullar (It Only Takes a Night). Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert produce under Ghost House Pictures, with Bruce Campbell and Evil Dead Rise director Lee Cronin serving as executive producers.
Vaniček was characteristically blunt about what he was going for, telling Bloody Disgusting: “I told the studio that I wanted to make a nasty film, a film that hurts, from which you come away tested.” Hard to argue with that after watching someone get impaled on a dishwasher rack.
The film has bumped its release date from July 24 to July 10, 2026 in the US. Warner Bros. Pictures handles domestic release while Sony Pictures manages international distribution, excluding the UK and France, where separate distribution arrangements are in place. UK horror fans should expect a concurrent theatrical release, though an official UK date has not yet been confirmed. And yes, Evil Dead Wrath is already dated for April 7, 2028, so the franchise is very much not done with us.
We’ll keep you posted on updates about Evil Dead Burn as the project develops.
