What the Dexter: Resurrection season 2 trailer shows

Michael C. Hall, who stars as Dexter Morgan, is caught between two new murderers in the footage, according to Deadline.

The trailer also shows Dexter dealing with a midlife crisis. An earlier 40-second teaser, per Big Country News Connection, showed him getting an eye exam and sharpening weapons.

Brian Cox and Dan Stevens play the new killers

Brian Cox, the Emmy-winning Succession actor, plays Don Frampt, the New York Ripper, according to Deadline. Frampt is a serial killer who terrorised the city years ago.

Dan Stevens plays Owen Stark, the Five Borough Killer, the season’s second major threat. Gabriel Luna also joins as a third killer, Ray Ballard, known as the Sleepy-Eyed Stranger.

Harrison, Quinn and other returning faces

Jack Alcott returns as Harrison Morgan, with James Remar back as Harry Morgan, according to the season 2 announcement. Desmond Harrington has been promoted to series regular as Joey Quinn, Deadline reported.

Paramount+ describes the season as Dexter and Harrison’s darkest chapter yet, according to Dread Central. New episodes will roll out weekly through December.

Dexter: Resurrection season 2 UK release date and where to watch

UK viewers can stream season 2 on Paramount+ from Friday 30 October 2026, according to Geektown.

Paramount+ says the season requires its Premium plan. That source gives no UK price, so check the Paramount+ UK site for current Premium pricing. If you’re building a Paramount+ watchlist, we also covered the Mobland season 2 trailer and premiere date.

There is a British angle on screen too. Cox is Scottish and Stevens is English, so two of the season’s biggest villains are played by UK-born actors.
