Wordle Answer for 2 October 2026
USURY
Today’s Wordle #1931 answer is USURY: the unethical or illegal practice of lending money at extremely high or unlawful interest rates. The word comes from the Latin usura, meaning “use” or “interest on a loan”, and reached English via Old French. It originally meant any interest charged on lending, before narrowing to excessive or unlawful interest. Its repeated U in positions one and three, plus the Y ending, makes it trickier than it first looks. pcguideForbes
