X-Men ’97 Season 2 Roll Call Drops and July Cannot Come Fast Enough
Marvel Animation recently dropped a new “Roll Call” teaser for X-Men ’97 Season 2. Now, after a two-year wait, the uncanny mutants are finally back — and they brought reinforcements.

The new trailer functions as a proper roster reveal for the upcoming sophomore chapter, according to Collider. Returning favorites include Rogue (Lenore Zann), Wolverine (Cal Dodd), Storm (Alison Sealy-Smith), Cyclops (Ray Chase), Jean Grey (Jennifer Hale), Nightcrawler (Adrian Hough), Beast (George Buza), Bishop (Isaac Robinson-Smith), Forge (Gil Birmingham), and Morph (A.J. LoCascio). New additions making their debut in Season 2 include Archangel, Psylocke, and Polaris — Magneto’s daughter, showing up to the party as a particularly welcome surprise.
Standing opposite all of them is Apocalypse, voiced by Ross Marquand, who is also pulling double duty as Professor X. So. Good luck, everyone.
UK fans can catch X-Men ’97 Season 2 exclusively on Disney+ available in the UK at £4.99/month, starting July 1, 2026. For those keeping score, Season 1 earned Emmy nominations and set an absurdly high bar. This season has the Archangel wings and the time-travel stakes to clear it.
And for those who can’t get enough mutant action, the X-Men are also set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday later this year, with Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Channing Tatum as Gambit among others. Meanwhile, director Jake Schreier is developing a brand-new MCU X-Men film. It is genuinely a great time to be a mutant.
