  • Lioness Season 3 premieres Sunday, August 2, 2026, exclusively on Paramount+.
  • The season runs eight episodes, released weekly, with the finale on September 20, 2026.
  • Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Kelly all return, joined by newcomer Ian Bohen.

The Full Episode Schedule

Season 3 follows the same weekly cadence as Seasons 1 and 2 rather than a full binge drop. According to FandomWire, Paramount+ has confirmed an eight-episode rollout with one new installment every Sunday until the finale.

That breaks down as:

  • Episode 1 — August 2, 2026
  • Episode 2 — August 9, 2026
  • Episode 3 — August 16, 2026
  • Episode 4 — August 23, 2026
  • Episode 5 — August 30, 2026
  • Episode 6 — September 6, 2026
  • Episode 7 — September 13, 2026
  • Episode 8 (finale) — September 20, 2026

That schedule matches figures reported by Brit + Co and by AOL, which also names the premiere episode “The Spider and the Fly.”

Paramount+ has not published an exact minute-by-minute launch time. Per FandomWire, the premiere is expected to land around 3:01 a.m. ET, in line with how other Paramount+ originals have rolled out — so viewers should treat that as an approximate window rather than a fixed guarantee.

Cast and Plot

Zoe Saldaña returns as CIA station chief Joe, alongside Nicole Kidman as Kaitlyn and Michael Kelly as Westfield. Morgan Freeman is also back as Secretary of State Edwin Mullins. Newcomer Ian Bohen, previously seen in Sheridan’s Yellowstone and Wind River, joins as Grady, a Delta Force operator described by TV Insider as a K9 handler skilled in battlefield tactics.

The official synopsis, per Paramount+’s own preview page, describes Joe walking “the line between duty and home as unseen forces circle her world,” with hidden networks and personal betrayals closing in on both halves of her life.

UK Release

The season isn’t US-only on day one. According to Paramount+’s UK & Ireland guide, Season 3 launches on Paramount+ UK & Ireland the same day as the US premiere — Sunday, August 2, 2026 — with the first two seasons already available on demand there.
